FAQ
Have questions? We have the answers!
House churches are just what they sound like, a church that meets on a weekly basis in a house vs a building. House churches usually consist of a small group of people (8-25 depending on the size of the house). Cornerstone Fellowship is a House Church Network, in that we’re a group of house churches that meet separately each week, and we come together once a month for a traditional worship gathering.A house church does everything a big church does, just differently.
Instead of being a church that has small groups, we are a collection of small groups that are a church. Instead of seeing no permanent building as a liability, we see it as an asset. There’s no rent, utilities, or upkeep, thus allowing us to utilize our resources towards ministry to our neighborhoods.
A house church is a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to meet people's needs, not expecting people to come to us. Cornerstone Fellowship seeks to be like the church from the book of Acts, seeing our city and neighborhoods changed.
If someone from our network of house churches invites you to their house church, attend that one. They will be more than glad to give you the time and place.
If you have never been to a house church, we recommend you attending at our main campus at 4887 Arbor Grove Drive. Pastor Ricky leads this service. Here, you can get a feel of a house church and experience what it can offer. All churches receive the same sermon, either by video or live.
Since attending a house church may be new to you, we encourage you to plan your visit. This way, we can help answer your questions and help make your first visit a very meaningful one.
House churches are highly relational. All of our house churches have the same basic format. An order of service will look something like this:
- Start with fellowship, coffee, and sometimes a meal
- Have prayer requests
- Share where we have seen and experienced God at work.
- Worship in song
- Pray over the prayer requests
- Discuss the text for the day
- Discuss how we will apply what God says
- Discuss what needs we can meet in our community
- End in prayer
Most cars can fit in the driveway. If not, you can park on the street in front of the house.
Cornerstone Fellowship is a church for everyone. We encourage people to come as they are and dress in what feels most comfortable.
Yes! At Cornerstone Fellowship we have discipleship groups. These are groups of 3-5 people who learn how to hear God from the word and apply what God is saying.
These discipleship groups meet anytime the groups wants, in homes, restaurants, coffee shops, or wherever they can get together. The goal is to learn how to meditate and thus hear and experience from God personally. Once each person hears from God, the group helps that person obey whatever God is saying to them. This way, we are developing self feeders from the word who can hear, obey, and multiply themselves into the lives of others.
Be learning to meditate and expereince God personally, you do not need to depend on someone (a preacher) telling you what to do. Ask your house church leader how to get involved in one of our discipleship groups.
When you plan your visit, you can be assured that we are prepared for you! Either pastor Ricky or one of our other house church leaders will reach out to you to answer any questions you may have. You will be SO GLAD that you planned your visit and you can do it by clicking the button below.

Testimonies:
Sandra King - Pastor Ricky knows and teaches the Bible and it's truths. He is sincere, inspired, led and directed by the Holy Spirit. Though not a mega church, Cornerstone Fellowship Church is huge in love and caring for one another...a true worshiping family.....as I imagine the new church of the Book of Acts must have been. If you are looking for a true church family with solid teaching, come join us each Sunday morning at 10 am. Your new church family is praying for your visit.
Pastor Nathan Norman - Pastor Ricky is an incredible person. I have had the opportunity to get to know him and Sandra over the last year. They are warm, caring, and passionate people. If you're looking for a great church community to be a part of and looking for great, biblical preaching, Cornerstone Fellowship is a great church to attend!
WE LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU
